Taster Day
We will be running a taster session aimed at anyone who is interested in learning more about honey bees, and having the chance to experience live bees in a hive.
The half day event will run on Saturday, 9th May starting at 10am, at our apiary in Hatch End. It will consist of a short presentation introducing bees and beekeeping, and a practical session where we will open hives to look at bees and let you handle a frame.
The cost will be £30 per person, and after attending the session, you will be given the opportunity to join HBKA as a country member, and to attend our regular bee inspections during the summer months. (Country membership allows you to attend events without keeping bees yourself and only costs £13.80). There will also be details of our 2026/7 beginners course available.
